Albany, GA - have a question please

I'm planning a research trip to Albany soon and then would like to trek across to the see GA's ocean side.
From my map I see that Hwy 82 from Albany goes all the way over to Brunswick, GA and hooks up with I-95.
Can anyone please tell me if hwy. 82 is a 2 lane road all the way across the state or is a 4 lane?
Thank you very much for any help, better road suggestions etc, best places to stop and eat in Albany etc. etc.
