i am looking for relatives of these folks, help!!
1 john martin was born about 1797 and he died about 1852. he married mary ____. john and mary had the following children:
11 robert c. martin was born about 1830.
12 charles r. martin was born about 1832 charles worked on the mary b. sessions farm as an
13 john hardy martin was born about 1834
14 edward l. martin was born about 1836.
15 joseph martin was born about 1838
16 winfield martin was born about 1838
possibly the last two boys are twins. i do not know. these names and dates were found in
the 1850 census of washington co., ga. with the family and these birth dates.
john hardy martin
13 john hardy martin was born about 1834 in ___ and he died in 1877 in washington co, ga. he is buried in the boatright-sessions cemetery in tennille, ga. he married mary a. boatright on 1861 in washington co., ga. by mr. john ivy, justice of the peace (book c page 43). she married again to mr. a.g. register after john's death, they married on 6-15-1880 in washington co., ga. and after the marriage they possibly moved because they are not found on any census record of the county after that time.
mary is the daughter of george franklin boatright sr. and elizabeth sessions boatright and she was born about 1844. george franklin boatright sr. was born about 1816 in washington co., ga. and died there on 9-25-1858 and he is the son of george e. boatright and zilpha (polly) roebuck boatright. elizabeth sessions was born on 4-20-1826 and died on 12-7-1896, she is buried in the zeta cemetery in tennille, ga. the cemetery is named after the granddaughter of elizabeth sessions boatright. elizabeth is the daughter of benjamin j. sessions and mary barry lawson.

john hardy martin worked for mr. jared I. irvin as an overseer in 1860 in washington, co., after that he enlisted in the georgia light artillery, 2nd brigade, state forces in february 1862 as a 6th corporal. this unit was incorporated into company d, 59th regiment. john was appointed to the rank of 4th sergeant. they surrendered at appomattox, va. at the home of wilmer and virginia mclean. there is a quote from general lee after he received word from his commands that they could go no further without more help and they had fought to a "frazzle". the quote is "there is nothing left for me to do but go and see general grant, and i would rather die a thousand deaths". ( i just thought this was interesting!)
john and mary had the following children:
131 john hardy martin was listed on the juror rolls in eastman, ga. in the first week of january, 1937
and was living in jesup, ga. in 1941.
132 george edward martin was born on 6-17-1864 and died on 8-11-1943 in eastman, ga.
133 alice martin married mr. john register of renta, ga.
134 fannie martin
135 william m. martin will was born in march 1870 in dodge county, ga. and died in the last week
of february, 1941. he married ____ and she died sometime after 1941. they had four daughters and two sons, that i am aware of, there may be have been more. the ones i have are not in birth order.
1351 ____ martin married mr. m. l. smith and lived in lake worth, florida during 1941.
1352 ____ martin married mr. c. f. clark and lived in st. augustine, florida during 1941.
1353 ella mae martin married mr. lane and they lived in atlanta, ga. during 1941.
1354 ____ martin married mr.dick brand and they lived in atlanta, ga. during 1941.
1355 j. hardy martin (most possibly john)
1356 dorris b. rawlins, i have no idea who this is.
136 mattie martin mattie married a mr. lamb, they lived in girard, ga. and in 1941 she lived in
137 lizzie martin lizzie married mr. register and then mr. mcdaniel
138 _____ martin _____ married (mr. or mrs.? coleman) *
139 james d. martin jim lived in cordele, ga. and had a daughter named sara martin, who married
a mr. carter, they lived in cordele, ga.
13 (10) ivey register lived in douglas, ga. he was a step brother, son of the second husband of
* note: there is a sister listed in the obituary that i can not identify, mrs. w. k. simmons, she may, or may not be # 138, where we have no name at all. she may also be one we have listed and have a second spouse we are unaware of.
** note: both lizzie or alice married a mr. register, we do not know which register at this time. but one of the marriage produced a child, mr. i. c. register, who married carolyn brown. i. c. and carolyn had a daughter named ottis (most possibly pronounced autis), she was born about 1910 and in october 1929 she married mr. stanford lott, son of james seward lott. ottis and stanford had two children:
mary jo lott who was born in coffee co., ga. and she married marvin a. yeager, they had two children:
james stanford lott married jane wall and they had three children:
