I am the granddaughter of Laura Lou Swearingen Tripp who lived in Leslie, Georgia. I am trying to locate the family of my grandfather who was married to Laura Lou (Willie James Tripp). He was born July 9, 1885, to Liddie Peacock. He was raised by the grandmother who was Peggy Peacock. He was an illegitimate child and he said his fathers name was Jim Ed Tripp from Dodge County. He lived as a boarder with the family of David W., & Sarah F. Mullis in 1900. I would appreciate any information that could help me build my family tree. Also a location of the cemetery which is supposedly 12 miles from Yonkers would help. Addition: Grandpa said he was kin to the following: Big Jack Tripp, Bud Tripp, King Tripp, Bo Tripp, Barry Tripp, Cripple Jack Tripp. Cripple Jack Tripp had a daughter named Jeanette Tripp who was married to Charles Mullis, a former sheriff from the area. He also said he was kin to James C. Rogers who was Sheriff of Eastman, Georgia. Thank you for ANY information you can send my way.
