Dodge County Newspaper Clippings, Vol I, page 235:
Thursday February 26, 1885 edition
Mr. Robert Brown, of this county, died at his residence on the 20th inst.
(inst -- instant -- in the current month)
No listing found in the cemetery book, nor for any of the others that you listed.
I found this in the History of Dodge County: (Again, I am not sure if this is your Brown family. There are also some mistakes in the information in this book)
"The head of the Browns in the Younker section was Jesse Brown, who came to this section from Alabama. He was the son of Bob Brown. Jesse married Elizabeth Jane Hall, daughter of James Hall of Montgomery County, Georgia. Their children were: J.H., H.C., W.R., G.M., S.M., C.N., and Rachel, who married D. B. Hosford."
"H.C. married Susan Lister; W.R. married Minnie Davis; G.M. married Mattie Lister; C.N. married Alice Bateman; S.M. married Texas Tripp." (marriage book has Sylvester Brown married to Texas Tripp, 1896; and S. M. Brown married to Julia Dawson, 1902. I don't know if this is an error in the Dodge County History or two marriages for the same man. Other names in the marriage records match.)
Perhaps you will recognize some of these names and then you can determine if this information applies to your family.
