This Isaac L. Clements and 1st wife (unknown) are my line. Although the Burch-Harrell book says he married a Parkerson, I and several other descendants think that is incorrect. There's no record of his marriage around 1867 at all -- anywhere, and all the Parkerson girls in his Pulaski Co. neighborhood are otherwise accounted for. Note that 2 of his siblings did marry Parkerson's, so the research is well covered from both the Clements and Parkerson angles.
Isaac L. does not appear on 1860 nor 1870 GA census, so could have been anywhere when he married. (....wish I knew where...) He shows up in 1877 Lowndes Co, GA when he marries 2nd wife Christiana Coppage. They come to Texas about 1883.
Keep in mind that the Burch-Harrell books were compiled from info provided by family members in 1930-40's, and some family oral history was incorrect.
