Jasper Newton Young @ "Wilkerson's"

My greatgrandfather, JASPER NEWTON YOUNG, was born in Georgia (his CSA pension application says "Wilkerson, Ga", but I have yet to locate a Wilkerson -- perhaps "Wilkinson" County or "Wilkerson's" in Dooly County, possibly now Dodge County) on October 20, 1834.I have not determined who Jasper's parents or siblings were, but he married Margaret Massey in 1856 in Leake County, Mississippi, then moved with her to Calcasieu Parish, La, where he was in 1860 and where he enlisted in the 1st Louisiana Cavalry. After the war, he and family moved to Polk County, Texas, where he married twice more after Margaret died (Sarah Frances Peebles and then Mary Ann McKee). He died in 1927 and had at least 20 children. Have not been able to positively place him prior to 1856. Does anyone researching the YOUNG family in Dodge County have a connection to my Jasper??? And is there such a place as "Wilkerson's Ferry" or "Wilkerson's Landing" in Dodge??
