I found the legal notices in the books by Tad Evans "Dodge County Newspaper Clippings". They had appeared in the local newspapers on the dates indicated. I suppose you might be able to find the original in the records of the Probate Judge's office for that that time frame. Would you be able to "search" the records, I don't know. I do know that the LDS Church has microfilm alot of the county's legal records. You might check with one of their History Centers and see if they have the records available. I live in Maryland and do not have access to have of the legal records. Are you looking for the parents of Jospeh Henry Tripp? Do you have a date of birth for him? Who do he marry? Do you have any names of his children? There seems to be lots of Tripps with names that could be yours. In one index for 1942-1948, I found Henry, Henry Thomas, J, J B, J C, J H, J J, J P, J R, J W, Jack, James, John James; any of these could be James Tripp or Henry Tripp. With someother info to use as a reference point, it would be extremely difficult to know if the right Tripp was found. In the Dodge County Marriage Book 1871-1966, there is no marriage for Joseph Henry Tripp. There is a marriage for James F Tripp to Zelia F Martin, Dec 15, 1907. That was the only marriage for a James; There were a J B, J E, J F, J J, J W (to Janette Harrell May 2, 1889), E H, George J, Green J, G J, H T, Joe, Joel, William J, W H, W J. If have any info that might help link your Joseph Henry Tripp to another Tripp, let me know and I'll check the clippings books again. Bernice Notify Administrator about this message?
