I was just talking with my cousin and her father today about the Jump Cemetery. My uncle is Rueal Franklin "Frank" Jump, born in Dodge county, son of Rueal Austin Jump, and Mary Alice Scarbrough Jump. He had one brother, Benard Peacock Jump and a sister, June Jump Higgenbottam both are deceased.

He has the obit for his great-grandmother Mary Jane Jump (he is not sure what his gggrandfather's name was but thinks it was John). In the obit it says " she died at the home of her son, Will Jump, at the old Jump homeplace in Eastman and was buried in the Jump Family Cemetery near the homeplace at route two Eastman, Ga.

He also the obit on Ralph DeWitt Jump, son of Nancy Kathleen Daniel Jump and Rueal Anderson Jump, who was also buried in the Jump Cemetery. Uncle Frank says that another son, Clarence Jump, is also buried there.

I just called my uncle back when I saw your post. He says they cleaned off the cemetery many years ago. He says my aunt can probably tell you exactly how to get to the cemetery.

He also sent a picture for me to post to see if anyone can identify the others in the photo. We know that Mary Jane Jump and her husband ( he is unsure of his gggrandfather;s name, but thinks it is John) and also Rueal Anderson Jump, Sr. (my uncle's grandfather). There are five ladies and six men in the photo. The photo is in very good shape. If you are interested or have more info on the Jump's please email me.

How are you related?
