The Richard F. Scarborough you mention - was he (at one time)a lawyer in the Macon, Ga area?
I am a Scarborough descendant of the Laurens-Dodge County area...and I have a copy of a letter written by a man of that name around 1941 - inquiring about other Scarborough relatives...one of his kin was a Matthew Judson Scarborough of Stone Mtn., GA. He was also kin to Emma Victoria Scarborough (1859-1952) of Laurens County.
Might not be the same family but thought I'd give it a try.
