I am looking for the parents of Woodward "Woody" King Davis. On December 28, 1804, Woodward King Davis was born in DeKalb County, Georgia. In 1824, Woodward King Davis and Mary "Molly" Splawn were married in Montgomery County, Alabama. Nancy Splawn, sister of Mary Splawn, was the wife of Allen Davis. Allen Davis probabaly was the brother of Woodward King Davis.

In 1840, Woody King Davis and Mary Splawn were living in Pike County, Alabama, and in 1850, they were living in Bradley County, Arkansas. In 1860, Woody and Mary were living in Anderson County, Texas. I believe that Woody and Mary returned to Bradley County, Arkansas. On September 13, 1863, Mary Splawn died. On October 3, 1865, Woody King Davis died.

The children of Woody King Davis and Mary "Molly' Splawn were Joel(b. ca. 1825), William H.(b. ca. 1825), Thomas(b. ca. 1827) and Martha. All of the children were born in Alabama. On February 1, 1832, Martha Davis was born in Alabama, and she died on July 24, 1865 in Bradley County, Arkansas. On December 20, 1848, Martha Davis and Hansford Willis Smith were married. Martha Davis and Hansford Willis Smith had five sons.
