I'm looking for information on the family of Robert M Barrett b:1838 and wife Lucy. They are listed in the 1860 census in Dawson County. They have a son William Barrett b:abt 1859. Robert is listed as listed as merchant.
From the 1870 and 1880 census it seems that Lucy may have died and Robert may have remarried a second time to Carrie or Caroline. They may other children in addition to William. In the 1880 census the head of the household is Milton Barrett, farmer, Carrie, wife, and children: Mary, Elizabeth, Silas, Mary or Bula, Etta,Emma, Fannie, and Nettie.
I would appreciate any help on sorting out these facts; especially the maiden names of Lucy and Caroline.
