Sorry for my delay. I'm often gone in the summer months.
I'm also interested in the Enoch and Gideon Blackburns. I've always felt that it was of some importance, but have not been able to connect the two families. I have found, in my Ketcherside lines though, that it was not unusual to name a child for a close friend or relative by marriage.
In the past I located several Enoch Blackburns and Gideon Blackburns and one Enoch with the father named Samuel, but the information doesn't seem to be the right time period of your Enoch and Samuel.
Can you tell me who Gideon was married to?
