Taylor and Osborn Family of Dade County GA

I am the GG Granddaughter of Zachary F Taylor ( b. 14 Feb 1840 Cobb County, GA and d. 07 Sep 1911 Dade County, GA) and his wife Nancy Elizabeth "Nannie" Osborn-Taylor of Dade County Ga.

I believe they married in Hamilton Co TN on 20 Nov 1865 and raised their family (six children) in Dade Co GA.

The following is all I know of Zach and Nannie other than the fact I descend from their daughter Sallie Mae Taylor b 1890 of Trenton, Dade, GA. Any info on the names of their parents ( and their children) would be great!

Nanny filed for a Confederate widows pension in Dade Co.

Zack Taylor was originally in the Phillips Legion Infantry Battalion's Co C but transferred over to the 3rd Ga Sharpshooter Battalion when it was formed in 1863. The Battalion was formed by selecting the best soldiers from the five units that made up Gen Wm T Wofford's Ga Brigade (16th, 18th, 24th Ga regiments and the Phillips and Cobb Legion Infantry Battalions). The Sharpshooter Battalion then served as part of Wofford's brigade for the rest of the war providing scouting and sniper support.
Here's Zack's roster entry from Co C.

Zachary F "Zack" Taylor - Enlisted 3/1/1862, Hospitalized in Lynchburg 11/29/1862 suffering from debility, Transferred to Co F 3rd Ga Sharpshooter Battalion in May 1863, Captured 8/16/1864 at Front Royal Va and imprisoned at Elmira NY until exchanged 3/14/1865, Born 2/14/1840, No further record

Would greatly appreciate any additional information relating to these families (ZF Taylor and Nannie Osborn)

. Alma
