Sills/Sells

I am trying to find the parents of John A. Sills born from 1845-1849 in GA. His parents were born in TN. He married in 1869 to Manda Cox. She was born in GA also. In 1870 they are in Jackson County, AL. Manda (Amanda?) died in Dade County, GA in 1879, drowning in a flood with her new born baby. John and Manda had the following children: Francis born in 1869, James Harry born in 1872, Charles Albert born in 1874 and Katie born in 1878. Their son, John A. was born in 1879. John A. Sills married Matilda Manly in 1880.

I found in the 1900 Dade Co census James Sills/Sells born in 1852 living near a James and Kattie Harp. Katie Sills Harp is the daughter of John A. Sills. On the next page is Stancuel or Stonewall Sells/Sills born in GA in 1862. These people are in District 48.

In District 47 is Newton P. (Peter?) Sills born in 1857. One page from Newton is Mary J. Sills a widow. Two of her sons are named Benjamin A. and Allen A.. In this same District is Margaret Manly born in 1826. Mary J. Sills' children's father was born in TN. Just as the other Sills' parents were.

Is there a connection between these Sills families?

Thanks,
