Sue,

My name is Chuck Reed. I was born in Crisp County in 1940, but live in Tennessee now. My email address is "reedstax@charter.net".

John Brown Wade was born in about 1844, married Julia Ann Ford in about July 1871, moved to Texas between January 15, 1875 and August 7, 1876. (Willie Wade was born in Georgia on the former date and John T. Wade was born in Texas on the latter date.) James Brown Wade died August 16, 1890, and is probably buried in Austin, Texas. James and his wife had nine children. He was the son of Magruder Wade and Elizabeth (Betsy) Brown. Magruder and Betsy are buried at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Crisp County; it is about 10 miles west of Cordele, going toward Albany.

Magruder Wade was my grandfather's grandfather.

If you have a family history computer program, I will be glad to email you a "ged" file with all the information that I have. I have only been working on it a month. Many in your area have much more information than I do.

With my best wishes,

Chuck Reed
