I attended Society Hill Baptist Church for a number of years. I'm assuming that this is where your grandparents are buried. I looked at the Hutto names in the cemetery listing and there is only one James M. Hutto (1886-1959) that possibly is your grandfather. You can look for yourself at:

Society Hill Baptist Church and Cemetery is located in Crawford County, Georgia. It is on Knoxville Road, I lived about three miles from there as a kid and loved the area. It is on the road from Macon to Fort Valley and is only a mile or so from the GA highway 42 intersection.

I have lost contact with all the Huttos' I knew, John and Ruth are gone now as is his father and mother. They are all buried at Society Hill. I lost contact with Judy, their daughter, last I heard she lived in Mexico.

I would obtain a good local map of Macon and the surrounding area before you make the trip, might save you some time. I haven't been back to Crawford County in years (1983), so I imagine that it's changed some.

Where do you live now? I live in Colorado Springs, CO myself.
