I believe(no proof) that James (1781) is the son of Benjamin & Agnes Fairs Garrison from York. I have thought that they had five sons and two daughters, but they might have had six sons, trying to figure out the census for sure on the early years is a little hard.
Every one doing this line show a David also as being a son of Benjamin & Agnes, but I haven't been able to track him down. And if he was there son, that would make six males. Four of the five sons all moved to Coweta, and the other Benjamin moved to obion TN. But his brother Milus, and three children of James (1781) all moved to Obion after the war.
The David born abt 1825 that is listed on the Coweta 1850 census might not be connected to this line at all, but I would like to know who he belongs to.
Chris wrote a note about David Garrison on the mail list which gave me the name of one of the daughters for Benjamin & Agnes, I just need the other daughters name. This is the one that might have married a Allen in York.
And if she didn't marry a Garrison I'm then going to be back to my original line of thought of Henry K. Allen being a nephew by marriage.
James (1781) married Margaret Baxter, part of his will is listed on the Coweta page, the two daughters Nancy and Mary, James F.(1813) and Milus all left Fayette Co. AL. and moved to Obion Co.
