I was a little confused as we have photos of who I thought was Jesse with Nell and Lucille when they were in their teens?? Maybe the stepmom just brought them to family gatherings as it looks like Jessie E. R. Beavers died in 1893?? It looks like Register, Nell and Lucille were her only children ( as I had thought previously) and the other children were step mom's - Ida Bavers??
I read the cemetery postings earlier but did not see the census postings at the bottom of page until I went back to look again - that is weird - one never knows!! I know the photos we have were taken in the early 1900s. but the lady who is identified as "Mrs. Beavers" is wearing black widow's "weeds" when everyone else is in white summer dresses for Claude Register and his wife's 15th anniversary party- maybe she is in mourning for one of her parents if it is Ida??? (I had thought it was Jessie and she was a widow but since JW did not die until 1935 or so it has to be Ida??) The girls Nell and Lucille are there but not Register, the son. The photo appears to be taken in Atlanta where Claude was a Sheriff.
Wow, what a lot to learn in one e-mail -sorry I did not see the census stuff unitl later - also saw the explanation about the ceneteries being posted later as well. I really thank you. I do have an eerly photo of Jessie Elizabeth and she does not look at all like the one identified as Mrs Beavers on the later photo!! I had wondered about that - now I know - Ida was prettier!!! Thank you sooooooo much!!
A Celeste Holly
