Anyone Researching Ira E. FARMER of North Carolina?

I've finally found proof in the Georgia U. S. Census that my 2nd great grandfather, Isaac N. FARMER is the son of Ira E. FARMER of North Carolina. Is anyone researching or know about Ira and his North Carolina family? Where in NC did Ira come from? Who were his parents?

Ira married Elizabeth Colwell on February 03, 1836, in Henry County, GA. He bounces all around Georgia after his marriage record like he has Gypsy blood in his veins. It makes it very hard to find him, but I've managed to find him in the 1850 Fayette Co. GA, 1860 Coweta Co. GA, & 1880 Etowah Co. AL U.S. Census. I'm missing him in the 1830, 1840, & 1870 census.

Any and all help will be very much appreciated. TJ
