I am a research volunteer for Coweta Co., GA and found your recent query on the GenForum website. I am NOT related to
the individual you are researching. However, here is some information which you may find helpful....

from Coweta Co., GA Marriages 1827 - 1979
LEE, F.M. - BIRD, C.A. 5-5-1870

from 1870 Coweta Co., GA census
household #56 of the Newnan district
Francis M. - 21, carpenter, b. TN
Cornelia - 21, keeping house, b. GA

in 1860 Coweta Co., GA census, there is no LEE/LEIGH household with a son named Francis or F.M. There is only one
BIRD household and there is no daughter Cornelia or C.A. Perhaps the families moved here between 1860 and 1870?

For what it's worth:
1870 Coweta Co., GA census
household #295 of 4th district
Isaiah - 60, farm labor, b. GA
Margeret - 60, keeping house, b. GA
Henrietta - 21, b. GA
[other Bird households were black.]

from 1850 Coweta Co., GA census
household #588
John - 37, farmer, b. SC
Adeline - 29, b. SC
Mary D. - 11, b. SC
Sarah - 8, b. GA
William L. -7
Louisa M. - 5
James N. - 3
Amanda - 1
LEE, Frances - 26, b. SC (male)

household #145
Lewis - 29, wagon maker, b. SC [m. Polly Hagler 1842; 'Polly' is a nickname for 'Mary'.]
Mary - 27, b. NC
William F. - 6, b. GA
Henry - 4
Sarah E. - 1
John - 19, wagon maker, b. SC [a John m. Elizabeth Eason 1855; a John C. m. Sarah Holmes 1855)
households on either side are Dyer's from SC

household #566
Reuben - 25, farmer, b. SC [m. Susan Granade 1847]
Susan - 23, b. GA
John B. - 1
Frances A. - 6 months (female)

household #1315
EASON household with a John LEE, age 70, farmer, b. SC enumerated therein. [Coweta marriages show a James Eason m.
Elizabeth Dyer 1835.]

I know that TN and SC are different states, but they border closely; perhaps some connection?

no BIRD's in 1850

from Coweta Co., GA Cemeteries
Oak Hill City Cemetery
Section 19A, Row 8, family grouping
LEE, Marion Cornelia d/o F.M. & Cornelia Lee 17 Oct 1872 - 9 Nov 1873
LEE, Cornelia Bird w/o F.M. Lee 12 Oct 1848 - 20 Oct 1872
LEE, Francis Marion 28 Feb 1847 - 2 Dec 1928
LEE, Catherine Houseworth w/o Francis Marion Lee 17 Apr 1857 - 20 Apr 1932

Looks like Cornelia died in childbirth with little Marion Cornelia who only lived one year. F.M.'s marriage to Catherine
Houseworth must have happened in another county as it's not listed in the Coweta Marriage book. There are no white
HOUSEWORTH households in 1870 Coweta census.

I hope this is helpful.
Best wishes in your searchings,
