1. I am still trying to dig into the past and find out where the NORMAN line starts (or, at least, go back as far as I can). As for John FRYETH, you have apparently found the same info I have, and that I referenced in my reply to your original message. In short, I don't have any hard-and-fast data on the NORMAN line prior to Richard Norman, Sr. (or Richard Norman I) who came over from England in the early 1600s. I have a number of irons in the fire on this one, so I will hold off sharing what I have right now since I don't want to propagate undoutedly inaccurate data. I expect to get some feedback from a couple of people in the next week or two who may have better info than I do. As soon as I get it, I'll pass it along.

2. I have very sketchy info on your branch of the family tree, but I do have a Winifred Norman in my database. If your grandmother is this same Winifred, she and my father are 3rd cousins, which makes you and me 4th cousins once removed.

3. Like you, I have only been seriously doing my genealogy for a short time. Even so, I have discovered several generous cousins, such as yourself, willing to help me by sharing the fruits of their labor, and I will gladly return the favor to anyone who asks. Just let me know what you want. By the way, I have just started to post my data on my FTM website. Check it out:

Take care, and I'll talk to you later.
