Have you checked the 1920 Colquitt Co., GA census so that you can tell us a little bit more about Hiram Gay? I have 3 Hiram Gays from Colquitt Co. in my file...one died in 1864, so we can eliminate him.

A Hiram Gay, born about 1862, could have been living in 1920. He was the son of Obediah Gay, and the grandson of Simon Gay, pioneer of Colquitt Co.

The 3rd Hiram Gay (no dates) I have was married to Vada Tucker, a granddaughter of Henry Crawford Tucker.


Hope some of this might help. There were A LOT of Gays in Colquitt Co. since its beginning!!
