If you look at the names of the children in 1900 Cullman County AL, that gives a BIG clue to John's parents. Look at the 1860 Clayton Co GA census, where you'll find Seborn Johnson, wife M.F. (likely Mary Francis, aka Fannie), and sons J.W. 9 (same as the marriage name used in 1873 in Fayette County GA to Georgia Burdett), M.L 11, plus others. M.L. married Sallie Johnson in Fayette County GA about the same time as J.W.'s marriage. Thus it seems that your John only lived in Cobb County GA around 1880, but was moving westward from Clayton Co GA in 1860, to Fayette Co GA in 1873, to Cobb Co GA in 1880, to Cullman Co AL in 1900. By the way, in 1860 Clayton Co GA, Jonesboro post office, page 115-A, next door to Seborn Johnson are his parents J.S. 65 and wife Winey (Winnie) 54. Winney is still there in 1870 at age 72 and next door is her son William H, listed as W.H. in 1860. Ancestry.com has mistakenly indexed Seborn Johnson in 1860 as Sebom.
