My grandfather, Charles Augustus Key was the son of Wesley Alonzo Key, son of James Barton Key. C.A.Key was born in Monroe Co., GA but lived and died in Clayton County as did his mother, sister, brother. C.A. is buried in East Point, GA., but all the rest of his family is in Clayton Co.

My mother who will be 85 in Nov. and her sister who will be 90 in Dec. are the only living children of C.A. Key. Their Key line will end at their deaths as there were no male Key's to carry on this line.

James Barton was in Henry Co. in 1850 and went to Clayton when it was formed. He is the only one of Thomas Key's children that did not go to Arkansas.

Jo Anne Miller
