Thanks for the reply Marion. I was quite fortunate some 17 or so years ago when I had first gotten into genealogy. I visited the GA Archives where Bill was working as a volunteer. He recognized my ggGrandfather's name (Jesse Gann) and led me to a treasure of information. Some years later he spoke at my SCV camp meeting. I have also assisted him with getting memorial markers placed at some Troup Artillery veteran graves. I know he was close to finishing his book but there was one one lady not releasing documentation, and he would not publish without it. Some sort of diary I think. I fear something bad has happened to him. It's a shame to have an almost finished book lay to waste, but I have no idea how to contact his wife. Anyhow, I have done what research I can regarding the Troup via internet such as battle official reports etc. Also been to Oconne Hill Cemetery in Athens and found HH Carlton's Grave, along with many of my relatives. Write to my direct e-mail and I'll let you know what I have.
I remain YOS, Wes
