I looking for the Buck Branch Milita area in Clarke Co.
near Winterville(I think). My gggrandfather was John Herman (Henry) (Hammond)Meyer and he came from Germany
around 1870. He was born in Germany in 1844 and died here
in Oglethorpe co. in 1921. He married an Elizabeth Hale
and her family was from the Buck Branch area. I need any
info on his father or mother names etc. and on Elizabeth
family. I know her fathers name was John A Hale b 1920 and her mother was Mary b 1921 but that is all. I don't know when they were married either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Anne
