Robert Jones Clarke Co. 1821-1830

On November 7, 1830 Robert A. Jones deeded to his son Jesse Jones land in Fayette Co. GA. This deed was executed in Clarke Co.

Land lottery records indicate Robert was resident in Clarke when he drew the Fayette land in 1821. It's also unclear if Robert (Jesse's father)ever actually settled on the Fayette land. The deed conveying it in 1840 was executed in Clarke.

Possibly this conveyance was in lieu of a will or administration of an estate. Does anyone have knowledge of any record of an estate of Robert Jones in the 1830s?

Also, is there any record of land in Clarke Co. being conveyed by Robert Jones in this time period, or earlier? I would be interested to know the location of the land and names of grantee, witnesses. Was there the name of a wife, etc.?

There were two Robert Jones in GA in the 1790 census (son Jesse was born in GA c. 1788). One was in Elbert Co. and the other in Wilkes. I am inclined to think he may have been the one in Elbert or related to the Elbert Co. Jones family. Does anyone have information on that family - or any Joneses in or near Clarke Co.?
