I am not a Wood researcher. I got to the Cherokee Co. web site because I saw that a collateral ancestor of mone (Trustin Phillips) drew land in Cherokee. I know he lived in several GA counties (Newton, Fayette, Heard, Clayton and maybe Coweta) but I knew nothing of Cherokee and I think maybe he never claimed the Cherokee land or sold it without having lived on it.
