I found out recently that two brothers in my family were married and living in Cherokee County after 1860, and left Georgia abruptly "because of a killing". That's the full extent of what I know, and I'm wondering if your file gives any hint as to who was charged for the murder of George Wheeler.

My relatives were:
Garrison SIMS, wife's name unknown
George L. SIMS, married to Elizabeth McGinnis

They were both listed in the 1860 census, but had left by the time the 1870 census was taken.

Thanks.
