Yes I finally saw "MW Wilson" on the Cherokee Co. 1860 census. That James, aged 7, would definitely fit. I wonder what the "MW" stands for? "Matthew"? If that middle initial "W" stood for "Wilburn", I would stop right there!

But there is also a "E.N. Wilson"("Elijah"), on page 168 with a son "James W", also aged 7. That one intrigues me because my ancestor is "James Wilburn" Wilson.

As far as I can find, these are the only 2 Wilson families in the county that year with sons "James" that are about the right age.

I wonder what the odds are of both of the sons being "James W"?
