Great News! During the July,2003 organizational meeting regarding the writing and publishing of the Chattooga County Heritage Book, a more realistic deadline has been established. Articles will be accepted until the fall of 2004! However, don't delay! Begin writing today and submit your typed 500 word article and 1 copy of a picture at no charge. No pictures will be returned.
If your ancestor came to Chattooga CO before 1860, you may write a pioneer article of 1000 words and submit 2 pictures. Keep in mind that if your article of 500(regular) or 1000(pioneer) words exceeds that number of words, there will be a charge of 10 cents per extra word. You may wish to write about your family line, a special place, or choose a specific ancestor as your subject.
You may submit your completed article(s) and picture(s) to me. I will make sure the material reaches the proper source. Also you may have time to write several articles. Send for my home address at the following email address: charlotte2nd2@juno.com
If you will send an email to me, I will also tell you how it is possible for you to submit more than one article at no charge.
