I am researching the Leonard family who were slaves of J.B. Leonard and/or Leonard Marbury of Ga. I understand that the owners moved from S.C. to Cherokee Co Ga. to Ala. where my husband's family settled in Coosa Co.Ala. We are looking for any slave or plantation information for: Joseph born 1822; Manda; Ransom 1830(We are related to Ransom);John 1833-35;A. 1835; Thomas 1838; Edward 1842; Jack 1846; William 1849. These birthdates are approx without proof. They are listed on the 1870 census of Coosa Co Ala. They also lived in Elmore Co Ala.
I would like to know where they originally came from, who were their parents, are there any records available? Thank you/Pat
