As you will recall, we've previously discussed several of these families at length as to their possible origin and roots. This puzzle piece appears to possibly fit the pattern as we've discussed. Note that Rhonda Morgan Stewart, who made a brief post to this thread in the Cherokee Co., GA GenForum #636 of 1078, connects not only to the MORGAN & HOWELL families but also connects to the Gardner G. Goss family of Cherokee Co., AL. I strongly suspect that your "orphan" Gosses are a part of this particular GOSS line.
