Looking for information on PENWELL and it's spelling variations.{Penwill, Pennywell, Penwall, etc}.

Thomas Penwell 38 bp SC died bet 1876-1880
wife: Fanny {Francis}38 bp SC
Children:
Jane 11,
Fanny 9, m.John Gringrey 1884
Carrie,1 m. William Hair 1888
Donghty, born 1876
1860 Chatham County Savannah census shows
Jane Penwell 11, m John Jeffers 1864. Jane was living with John B Tillman
Other marriages in Chatham County:
Frances Penwell married Hampton Tillman in 1862 Savannah.
Carrie Penwell born abt 1855 married "Unknown Cooper". Carrie shows in the 1880 Savannah census as a 25 year old widow with her son Harry
