Bradys of Savannah, Chatham County, GA

Still looking for information on my ggrandfather and ggrandmother, John James Brady and Isabella Frazier Brady. They had two girls... Elizabeth Brady (married E. Lovell Schirm) and Josephine Isabella Brady (b 22 Oct 1882 Savannah d 15 Jun 1925 NC married Louis Samples Proctor of Emanuel County Jan 15 1905).

John James Brady came from Ireland... maybe via an Australian prison... and came to America where he established a mercantile ( I guess that's a hardware or general store) in Savannah, and did quite well. Supposedly, he was born in Northern Ireland...possibly Antrim or Armagh or Fermanagh.

I don't know anything about Isabella Frazier; I have found a marriage certificate for a John James Brady and a Mary Ann Ferguson that was dated shortly after my grandmother (Josephine Brady) was born. Did Isabella Frazier die in childbirth, or did John and Isabella divorce? I don't know.

Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks... Brad Proctor
