I have been trying for years to find information on my Scholl family in Savannah. My gg grandfather was Jacob Scholl (possibly John Jacob Scholl) b. abt 1845, d. 1-18-1889. He was a baker and worked for various hotels in Savannah. He was married to Sarah (maiden name unknown), b. 6-1849, Philadelphia, d. 12-4-1907. Censuses indicate that both of her parents were born in Germany. Both Jacob (John J. according to cemetery records) and Sarah are buried at Laurel Grove Cemetery. Their children were Josephine, John J., George, Daisy V. (my great grandmother), and Birdie/Bertie. Anyone having any information on this family, please contact me at <darleen@mbusa.net>. Thank you.
