According to Ancestry.com-One World Tree

Seleta Ann Waits married Jesse P Wallace 5 May 1840 in Fulton County, GA. This cannot be correct as Fulton County was not created until 20 Dec 1853. So the marriage took place most likely in DeKalb County.

Seleta Ann Waits is given as born in Fulton County and this is incorrect as reason stated above.

Her death is also given on One World Tree as July 29, 1912 and place of burial is Empire, Dodge County, GA. Her daughter Margaret S Wallace Peacock is given as buried in Bowers Cemetery, Empire, Dodge County, GA.
email Stephanie Rawlins at SLIncecum@i-found-it-net She seems to be the administrator of this site. She has listed the Bowers Cemetery on cemeteries in Dodge County. Seleta is most likely buried with her mother. It would be worth a look.

Ancestry-one world tree also gives Jesse buried at Kennedy Cemetery and it may also be in Dodge County, GA. It just says Kennedy Cemetery, GA d 29 Sept 1863

Although Margaret S Wallace Peacock is given as buried in Dodge County, her husband Holly Anguish Peacock is said to be buried at Ben Hill Methodist Church, Fairburn Rd., S Fulton County, GA. The information is listed as from Roger Peacock and submitter - unknown. Much information is given on the above site on the Peacock family, however, all is listed by an unknown contact. This drives me nuts as it is of little use and am unable to let them know the counties of birth are incorrect. When information is given incorrectly researchers are trying to search a county which did not exist.

DeKalb County was created in 1822. Prior to 1853/54 Fulton County was Dekalb County. Prior to Jan 1 1932 the Southern Part of Fulton County was Campbell County and so was part of Douglas County. Campbell County was split by the Chattahoochee River and on 1 Jan 1932 the part west of the river became Douglas County and the part east of the river became Fulton County.

Campbell County began in the north part at Tell-Butner and County Line Rd in Fulton County, and extended to the Coweta and Henry County lines on the South and East and Carroll County on the West.

Please let me hear again from you
