Need help researching James Lloyd from Camden County Ga, which is now Charlton County Ga. Does anyone have information on his parents or brothers and sisters? I have some of his descendents from South Ga. and North Fl. near the St. Marys River. I have some information on James but can't locate parents. James is my gggrandfather and he married Susannah Wingate in 1822. Here is my line.
James Lloyd, gggrandfather
John Houston McIntosh Lloyd, ggrandfather
Charles Houston Lloyd, grandfather
Laura Lloyd Crews, mother
James Lloyd was know to be in Camden County in 1805, he was a registrant for the 1805 land lottery from Camden County Ga. This would make him 21 years or older in 1805. He is in the 1810 reconstructed 1810 census, 1820 census and 1830 census. He died before June 1838. In 1823 he was living on Spanish Creek near Traders Hill on the St. Marys River in Camden county. I have reords of some property he owned. He may have come from Putman, Greene or Hancock Ga. If you have any leads or know where I may look for him Please let me know. Any help would be greatly apprecaite. I am up against a brick wall and can't seem to get past it.
Thanking you
