I've seen your name on the Byars Family Forum. I'm descended from Artemisia Thomas, daughter of Thomas Thomas and Nancy Byars. I have looked in the library at Jackson, GA and also at DAR. At DAR I found Nathan's application for a pension. Only his second wife is mentioned.
I've looked at family trees and see several Nathans mentioned. I think that the Nathan who died in Butts County is probably a cousin to the Nathan in AL but have no proof.
Information (undocumented) at library in Jackson states that Nathan and Milly Turner had six children--Nathan III who was born in 1795 and died after 1880 in Lawrence County, AL; Joseph, born 1797; Jacob, born, 1798; William, born 1799; Mary, born in 1801 and Nancy born in 1802.
