Richard, the information that I have is unusual. Rosannah E. Harkness Carmichael, wife of Robert Carter Carmichael, b 24 June 1842, died 7 December 1925, is buried in Jackson City Cemetary downtown. Robert Carter is not buried with her. In that time period, many Butts County males joined the Butts County Invincibles, 30th Georgia Regiment, Company A, which was formed in September 1861. After the war, some families retrieved bodies and returned them to Butts County, but many of those, including both of my greatfathers, following the war, were unidentified, and were buried in battlefields around Nashville, TN. You are probably aware that the Fellowship Presbyterian Church Cemetary has a Carmichael family plot ( 7 graves) in which a Robert C. Carmichael, born 4 July 1834, died 7 May 1881, is buried. His gravestone has a Masonic emblem. A Carter D. Carmichael, born 19 February 1881, died 6 September 1893, is buried in the plot adjacent to Rosannah Carmichael in the Jackson City Cemetary. I hope this information is helpful to you. Warmest regards, Hayward Mayfield
