Ben, I have a Catharine Chambers who was born in the right place at the right time to possibly have married your John Lambert. I have been looking for a spouse for her.

My 3great-grandmother was Rachel Chambers b 1767 in Maryland, died 1857 Emanuel Co Ga. I have traced her father to Jonas Chambers of Cecil Co Md. Jonas was born abt 1742, and owned land in Cecil Co Md from 1762 until the last deed of 1785. He showed up in land deeds in Burke Co Ga by 1789. A 1783 Cecil Co census showed 12 white inhabitants of his household. His wife was Priscilla Jones, daughter of Robert Jones of Cecil Co Md. I might add that Jonas's mother was Mary John, sister of David John who died in Cecil Co Md in 1768. David John's will also named nephews John Ricketts and William Chambers, and a niece, Agnes Black. I have identified three daughters so far for Jonas and Priscilla. Besides my Rachel, who married Reubin Thompson in Burke Co abt 1792, there was Nancy Mary who married Nathan Rackley, probably also in Burke Co (they were in Decatur Co Ga by 1830). And I have named Catharine as a daughter based on land records. Rachel received approx 200 acres in 1792, Catharine the same in 1793. My theory is that these were deeded to them as wedding gifts from their father. Some plats are on-line for this family at Georgia's Virtual Vault. Other Chambers names on the plats were Robert and John, possibly brothers of the three girls.
I presume Jonas was deceased by 1816, when Priscilla's will was recorded in Screven Co Ga.

Do you have an approximate marriage date for your Catherine, maybe names of the children? Does any of the above on my Chambers family seem to fit? Maybe we have a connection here.
