Does anyone have any history on John William Lewis,or wife Effie mae Courson Lewis.DoB about late 1870's ,Brantley County,Ga. Children Fred,Harvey, Carey, Cora, Kate,Minnie. Minnie died in childbirth,delivered child, Geneva, raised as daughter by John and Effie. My Mother is Kate, married William Frink,probably also of Brantly County. I believe Courthouse records were destroyed. Way back, a forefather,John Lewis settled on the Satilla River, subsequently had land in Hickox unless these are one and same. My grandfather owned land in Hickox, now owned by one of his granddaughters and husband. Ivy and Gail Johns. Harvey married Lillian Lee, Fred married Pearlie ? Cora married Melvin Highsmith,then Gene Burch. Know nothing of either Lewis or Courson family beyond my grandparents. Looking for info.
