Thank you so much Bernice. I have recently purchased some land in south Bleckley county and plan to move there in a few years. I noticed Jessup street and realized there must be some Jessups that lived in the area and did a little research and found some internet references to Ben Jessup and some other Jessup's. My wifes maiden name is Crumpler and remembered seeing a Crumpler's florist a few years back when I travelled through Cochran, so I was also interested in where these Crumplers originated. Thank you for the info. I imagine Richard Crumpler probably originated from the same area of NC as my wifes family--Sampson-Duplin County, NC.
Do you have more info on the Jessup's?? Are you related to these Jessup's? I am hoping to take some time this summer to the courthouse and research who used to own the land I purchased.
K. S. Jessup
