I was recently visiting Rose Hill cemetery in Macon, Georgia.
One of the most unusual tombstone's I've seen is for
John B. Ross
"son of W.A. and E.J. Juhan"
Died July 26, 1875
Age 8 years, 4 months, 16 days
Was a brave little fireman
Attached to Defiance Fire Co., No 5.
The tombstone is made to look like it has a fireman's jacket drape on it, along with a belt that has a 5 on it, and a fireman's cap with Defiance 5 on it.
If anyone knows the story behind this, I would be very interested in hearing it.
