Thanks you so very much for responding. This I'm sure is the son of the Jacob Pugh/Pew/Peu whom I am searching. My Jacob was born around 1806 and he married Lucy Smith d/o Holman Smith, Sr and Elizabeth/Betty Willis in Spartanburg Co, SC and per the will of Holman Smith: Lucy and Jacob Pugh moved to Georgia.......
See: Spartanbug Co, SC DB EE p 77-78 3 Mar 1846 John Byars Exor of J B Watkins dec......on Rockey Fork of Thickety Creek. Bound: HOLMAN SMITH (SW &S).......Being the tract sold at Shrff. Sale as the property of JACOB PUGH
Also see: Sptbg Co, SC DB EE p 80-81 23 Oct 1855 HOLEMAN R. PUGH (Cass Co, GA)......being the amount which my Grandfather got of W W Webber for a piece of land he sold to sd Webber for me, which I recd of Willis Smith[s/o Holman Sr] as his Exor and paid by said Willis Smith (Spartanburg) as Exor.......all my interest in the tract which my Grandfather Holeman Smith sold to H H Webber......
[this Holeman R Pugh, I believe to be the oldest child of Jacob Pugh and Lucy Smith].
Thanks so very much for your "in-put", Helen
