Charlie Stanley Bartow Gilmer counties

I'm looking for information on my ancestor Charlie Stanley
who is listed in the 1920 census on the Bartow County
Chain Gang. He shot his father-in-law, William Nelson Cochran in Ellijay, GA sometime between 1918-1920 supposedly. He also supposedly escaped and shot a guard in the process. Best case scenario, I'm looking for anyone who might have access to the Bartow Tribune newspaper archives or abstracts, 1918-1945, and can search. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
