I am looking for information on Henry Clark who married Frances Malissa Freeman, daughter of Wesley Patrick Freeman and Ellender Findley. Frances had first married James W Yancy, 20 Nov 1854, Cherokee Co., GA. [James was the son of Elisha and Sophia Yancy.]
Frances [b abt 1835] and her Yancy children were listed on the Pickens Co., GA 1860 census with her mother. On the 1880 census, she is listed, as Frances Clark, head of household with her children. I haven't found her on the Bartow Co., GA 1870 census. I need information about Frances and her children from both marriages. Her Yancy children would be cousins in my husband's family. It is possible that her Clark children are cousins, too.
I am especially looking for any information about Henry Clark. I have been told that James and Mary "Tasey" Sorter Clark had a son named Henry. I am trying to determine if the Henry who married Frances Freeman Yancy was the same Henry who was the son of James.
James and Tasey were listed on the Pickens Co., GA 1870 census. Tasey was listed on the Bartow Co., GA 1900 census with their son, George W. Since Frances Freeman Yancy Clark and her children were listed in the same counties on the same censuses, perhaps her second husband, Henry Clark might be James and Tasey's son.
Any information would be appreciated.
