Does anyone have access to these records. I am looking for LL 19-74 which was part of the land granted in the 2nd Ga Land Lottery. I do not know who got it but I know who ended up with it, later -- Alice Elizabeth DANIEL, then Mrs. John C. RICHTER, Sr. of Madison, Morgan County, GA and she did not buy it which means she inherited it from someone. That "someone" is the name I want to know because we do not know ancestors of Alice.
In 1807 this land would have been located in Baldwin but it was actually in Morgan and bordered along Morgan's SW border with Jasper County, in an area later called Reese Community. A John DURDEN lived right across the street from the RICHTERS in 1900. I also know a William WILEY RS was granted land nearby in LL 19-76 and John RICHTER served with a WILEY in the CSA.
Alice was the d/o Robert W. DANIEL, Esq. (1809-1865) and his fourth wife, Mary Jane RENEAU, all of Bethany, now Wadley, Jefferson County, GA but she married John C. RICHTER of Madison (in Madison) in 1872, marriage preformed by Dr. David WILLS, President of Oglethorpe University.
Thanks, in advance.
