Spurlock or Scurlock ??

In 1830 there were several people in Balfwin County variously reported as having the name Scurlock or Spurlock - or perhaps some of both families.

Two were named William and Daniel. William may have been a Rev. War veteran who died in 1840 in Muscogee County, Georgia.

Can anyone tell me if your county records show any such individuals and how their names were spelled.

There were many of each family in early Georgia. They were not connected but are often confused even in state records.

Thank you.

--- Ken
