Where in North Carolina Did Baker County Residents Come From

Can anyone help with area in North Carolina that residents of Baker county in 1830 & 1840 lived before coming to Georgia?

My Davis family was in Baker County by, at least, 1835. They are listed in 1840 census.

I need info as to husband of Priscilla Davis (b. 1810 in North Carolina). She is listed as head of household in Newton District, Baker County,GA. in 1840. Family lore says there is Indian heritage, either thru Priscilla or her husband.

In 1840 census Priscilla Davis is listed living between George Long and Reuben Hatcher. Is she related to either of these men?

The following children are listed living with her in 1840 along with an unidentified female between 15-20 years old.
Is this another daughter, b. ca. 1815 to Priscilla or relative?

Her known children are:
1. Susan Davis, b. 1827, d. 1884 in Mitchell County, GA., married 1844,Baker County, John C. Frazier.
2. Sophronia Davis, b. June 1830 in Thomas County, GA., d. ca. 1910 in LaBelle, Lee County, FL, married 1846, Baker County to William Byrd Frazier (brother to her sister's husband, John C. Frazier)
3. John B. Davis, b. 14 Oct 1835 in Baker County, GA, d. 14 March 1900 in Lowndes County, Ga., married 14 Nov 1852 to Mary Ann Black (daughter of Douglass Black of Thomas and Irwin County, GA.
4. Emily J. Davis, b. 1837, Baker Co, Ga, d. 1880-1900 in Brooks ? Co, Ga., married 1852 in Baker Co, GA to William St. Johns.

I would greatly appreciate any help with this family.
